6 Years Ago Today…

My Beautiful Baby girls were born at 6:26 and 6:27 pm, 7 weeks before their due date. After enduring 7 months of EXTREME sickness, throwing up continuously every day , numerous hospitalizations, changing (well shane did) the catheter that went into my leg (huge needle) everyday that attached to a pump I wore on my side that pumped medicine into me 24 hours a day, preterm labor at 28 weeks, bed rest, pre -eclampsia, and hospital bed rest, my sweet and beautiful girls made their appearance into this world via emergency c-section.  I will NEVER forget hearing their tiny little cry for the first time. The NICU team allowed me to have a quick look and took them away to the NICU. After a couple of hours in recovery, they took me to see my miracle babies. God gave me those little girls to love, to care for, to nourish, to discipline, to teach, and to raise them in a Christian home. They are my little blessings, challenging ones at times, but I wouldn’t trade a moment of it. Today,

Back From the Doctor

The girls have strep and the rash to go along with it.

My Babies are SIck:(

The girls have been running a pretty high fever since Saturday morning:( They have just been laying around which is VERY UNUSUAL for them. I called the doctor this morning, and they have an appointment at 3 this afternoon.

A Day at the Park

It was a beautiful day so I took the three girls, Kelsey, Kaley, & Sarah, to the new park they built in Duncan.

It's Official!!

I was praying this day would never come. I knew it would, but I had a little hope it wouldn't. But it's now official, Shane is deploying to Afghanistan very soon!

Girls New Haircut

So, we’ve been trying to let the hair grow long but we just couldn’t take it anymore. The tangles, the knots, the crying, the whining, the taking 20 mins. to blow dry, etc. So I decide to take them to Snip It’s. My instructions were to cut in a slightly layered “bob” with the length being between their shoulder and chin. When she did the first cut I think my mouth jaw hit the floor.  I really wanted to say, “Ummm….doesn’t that look a little shorter than I asked?” But I knew it wouldn’t do any good so I kept my mouth shut. I do think it’s cute, but does need to grow a little.

Pre Christmas Photo Shoot I tried to do

One of my children was not in the mood to take pictures. I was trying to make a Christmas card picture. MORE PICTURES TO COME!!! I am using Windows Writer to post this. It is so much easier posting pictures from it.

North to Alaska

My flight is booked...my wardrobe is lacking the type of clothing/shoes I will need...and I've never left my girls before but I am going to Alaska:) I leave Feb. 6 and return Feb. 15. I'm so excited but sad at the same time because I know that will be the last time I will see Shane for a while, and considering he is going to Afghanistan, may be the last time I ever see him. (I however, pray this is not the case). We have some big things planned, one being http://www.snowtours.net/winter.html, Alaska Aces games and who knows what else. I do have to go shopping for a new wardrobe because all of us know that in SC, we really have no need for "snow" or really cold weather clothing. I do pray it warms up in Alaska before my arrival or I will probably not want to step my foot outside unless it's absolutely necessary. The temps have been -25 degrees. Wow, I can't even begin to imagine what that feels like. BRRRRRR!!!

Prayer Request for a friend

One of my best friends, Tennille, is in ICU in a hospital in NC after a car wreck. She has a cut in her liver, head injury, and some broken bones from what I have been told. She has been going through a VERY DIFFICULT time in in life. I talked with her about 2 hours the night before last and she is so lost, confused, angry, upset, and so much more. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE Pray for her. She also has 2 children, Cameron and Daylah whom need our prayers.

"I saw Papa"

My brother called my Mom this morning and said that his 2 1/2 year old daughter, Sarah said, "Mommy, I saw Papa." She questioned her and talked with her. She asked her, did he talk to you, what did he say?. Sarah said, "He said I'm pretty." My Daddy always told her she was pretty!! Samantha then asked her where she saw Papa and she replied, "In the sky!"
