If you could spare a few prayers

I took Baby Girl to her Pediatrician about her breathing issues she has been having. She did not seem to think it was asthma for more than one reason, but one reason, is she doesn't cough. She is leading towards something called Vocal Cord Dysfunction and is sending her to an ENT do do further testing, etc. She mentioned a few other possiblities as well, but are less likely she said. I guess we have ruled out Asthma for the most part and are headed in the right direction. If this is the case and she does have VCD, I'm not sure what they do for it. For older children/teens, sometimes speech thereapy and "breathing" thereapy can help them but for babies, I'm not sure what will happen. Please say a little prayer for her.

I guess it's that time...

to lower the crib mattress:( Baby girl is officially pulling up all by herself. She has pulled up in her crib before with my help, but I went in to get her this morning and guess what...she was standing there smiling at me. She is growing up way too fast! All 3 of my girls are growing too fast.

8 months

8 Month Milestones

*She has 4 teeth
*She has been scooting and pulling herself around for 2 months now, but she is finally crawling on on fours now.
*Learning to pat a cake and wave
*She is VERY loud and loves to hear her voice
*LOVES LOVES LOVES the water
*She has become quite the "love bug" and a Mommy's girl. She loves to give mommy hugs and kisses.
*She is starting to pull up
*She loves to crawl on the shelf under the cocktail table.
*She loves to jump

I'm not sure of her exact weight and height. About 2 weeks ago she was 18lbs 6 oz and 29 in. We are STILL working on getting her tyroid levels "leveled" out. It's frustrating and worriesome because I know the damage it can cause, but the Endocrinologist assures me that her levels are not in the "danger" zone to cause mental and/or physical delays. She is still working on getting her on the correcet medication dosage.

She seems to be doing great! I am a little concerned she may have asthma because she breathes SO hard while doing any kind of activity and wheezes. It's like she is out of breath. She also holds her mouth open ALL THE TIME. I pray it's not asthma, but I am going to bring it up to her Ped. If any of you out there have asthmatic children, "Is this a sign?"

Here are a few snapshots from today.

Father's Day

This is my second father's day without you here on earth and I thought time would heal the pain. Somedays are better than others, but somedays, I just sit on the couch at night and cry. I miss you more and more everyday. When you were sick, I often pray as I watched you suffering so bad, that each breath you took would be your last. I could not bare to watch you suffer anymore. Everytime I close my eyes at night, I see the night that you did take your last breath as my Mom and I were holding your hands. I thank God for giving me the stregnth to be there with you and to hold your hand to help calm you because you were fighting so hard to stay here on this earth, so you could be here for your beautiful granddaughters. Daddy, I made a promise to you that I would never let Kelsey and Kaley forget you, but you know, I don't have to do anything to make them not forget you. Not a single day goes by, they do not talk about you or talk about things you did with them or makes comments like, "Well, my papa did this, my Papa did it this way...etc" Daddy, you are missed by so many people here on this earth, but I know you are in a much better and happier place and you are in a brand new body that is no longer sick and in pain. Thank you for being the best Daddy a girl could ever ask for! I LOVE YOU SO MUCH and you are forever in our hearts!!!

What do you see?

While driving home from VBS tonight, the girls and I were talking about the Bible, Jesus, Heaven, Hell, Angels, the end of time, etc. They were also talking about my Dad. They were saying, "God was just ready to take Papa because his body was so sick and he didn't want Papa to be sick anymore." Anyways, I came home, we sat down on the couch to watch a little TV. I turned the lap top on and clicked on face book while we were still talking about these subjects. Both girls were sitting beside me and as soon as FB came up, this was the first listing on the page. Someone had posted this pic. from their mobile phone.

I told the girls to look and they said, "Mom, that looks like an Angel." And there is a white spot above that kind of looks like a dove. It was uploaded from a mobile phone so I'm not sure that it could have been enhanced. Maybe so or maybe not?

Even if this one was somehow enchanced here is one that is not. We were driving to VBS yesterday and this beautiful rainbow was in the sky.

First Sleepover

Kelsey and Kaley had their first sleepover last night. They had their best friends from church over. They are also twins and are 8 months older than my girls. They played on the slide, played the WII, played games, dress up, fashion shows, we made cupcakes, and who knows what else. The night did not go without drama and I think all four girls at least had one meltdown. I guess that's girls for ya. All in all, it was a successful sleepover.

Pulling Up

I have noticed the past week that Kinsley has been making her way towards things she could pull up on. Tonight is the first time I have have seen her try to pull up in her crib. She pulled up on the side of the bathtub the other day. My baby girl is growing up.
