Please say a little prayer...

If you could say a little prayer for me, I would greatly appreciate it. It seems the sickness is REALLY starting to kick in now and is getting worse and worse each day. Today I have been vomiting continuously . Every time I put something in my mouth, it comes right back up. My stomach and chest hurts from vomiting when there is really nothing to vomit. I am so weak and so tired I just want to lay in bed all the time. I don't have a doctor's appointment for another 2 weeks. I really don't want to go to the ER but if I keep going at this rate I will have to. Thanks for your thoughts and prayers!

The innocence of a child

I just wanted to share some things my girls have said lately...

*The other night Kelsey went out with my Mom to feed the dogs. It was pretty dark outside and Kelsey asked my Mom if she could go sit in my Daddy's swing. Everyday (before he got sick), when he came home from work, he would go sit in his swing, play with the dogs, and swing for hours. Now his swing sits empty. Anyway, Mom let her go down there. She sat in the swing, and prayed, "I sure hope my Papa is having a good time playing with God"

*We went to Blue Bay to eat last week and they always want to throw money in the wishing well thing they have. Kelsey looked at me and said, I wished my Papa was still real.

*Kaley came home from school last week and said, "Mommy, I am so mad at both of my teachers." I asked her "why?" She said, "they didn't let my sissy have an ice cream at lunch today because she didn't eat her food." She said, "they let me have one and I cried because she didn't get one. I shouldn't have gotten one either." She was so upset.

*When it snowed, the girls of course wanted to build a snowman. Kaley wanted to put her Papa's Byrnes Rebels hat on the snowman. When she put it on him, she said, "I bet my Papa is saying, Look at those silly girls using my hat for that snowman." and then she giggled.

The girls have been really worried about me because I have been throwing up. I tried to explain to them that I was ok and that a lot of women with babies in their bellies throw up. They told Mom yesterday, "My Mommy is really sick" I think they associate it with my Dad. He threw up all the time, and I think they associate it with his illness:(

The pregnancy thing has kicked in

I thought I was going to be lucky this time around and not have the "morning" sickness. Well the past week, more so the past few days, it has decided to make it's appearance. I am by no means complaining (maybe whining a little), because so far is is NOTHING compared to last time. When I was pregnant with the twins, I was CONSTANTLY throwing up the ENTIRE time I was pregnant. So far, I have really bad nausea and a little vomiting from morning until about 1 or so. Then I start feeling some better. Then late in the evening the nausea comes back. I am thankful so far that this is all I have to deal with. Hopefully this means it's just 1 baby and I pray the constant throwing up doesn't decide to show up. I've been coming home in the mornings after taking the girls to school and going back to bed for 4 hours. I am still so tired I can hardly move. And then of course, there is the emotions! I do have a lot to be emotional about right now, but yesterday I was an EMOTIONAL WRECK!! The thought that I can't pick up the phone and call Shane anytime I want or text him just to say I LOVE YOU, and our everynight conversations. The thought that he will never see me pregnant, well hopefully he'll get to make it for delivery, never feel the baby move, not go to doctors appointments with me, and then of course there is the girls. These of course are only the least of my fears. I have been through this before when he was in Iraq. OF course, I wasn't pregnant, but this time seems so much harder. Shane has me so worried. The past couple of weeks he has not been himself. He has been calling everyone (people he normally doesn't call), doing weird stuff, taking out an additional life insurance policy, and all types of things. He makes comments like, "I need to talk to the girls one last time, etc" I'm not sure if they told him they are going to a bad area, or what the deal is. He seems so much more concerned this time around than the first. Maybe it's because he has been there and done that. I have no idea when I will hear from Shane, but everyone PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE pray for him, his fellow soldiers, and their families.

The girls are so excited about being a big sister. I wasn't going to tell them until after the first trimester just in case something happens, but I figured if I didn't someone would. They said, "Mom, you have to go buy us all matching outfits and I was it's name to start with a K like ours." They are hoping for a baby brother. If it is a boy I am going to some way use my Dad's name in the baby's middle name. Ok, I am off to bed now. I can't remember the last time I went to bed this early. I'm about to fall over.

Mixed Emotions

Thanks to everyone for your congrats, thoughts, and your prayers! I am asking for your prayers during this pregnancy. This pregnancy was not in our plans right now, but obviously it is in God's. I am having so many mixed emotions right now. I am excited, but yet very afraid, nervous, worried, and just have SO MANY thoughts going through my mind. Shane and I were thinking of having another child, but after he got out of the Army. Shane is deploying VERY VERY soon ( I can not list dates here), and will not be here during the pregnancy. He will be deployed for 12 months. I am very concerned due to the complications I had during my first pregnancy with the twins and also their premature delivery. I am afraid of Shane getting injured or killed in Afghanistan. . I can not even begin to list all of my cares and concerns. I have not been to the doctor yet, but from my calculations (via internet calculator) the baby would be due on Nov. 1 which will be one year since my Daddy's passing. Please keep my family and I in your thoughts and prayers!!!

We have growing families on both sides.
My grandparents are going to have 5 new great-grandchildren this year
Chad (my bro) & Samantha in April, Christy in April, April in Aug, Heather in Oct, and me. That will total 15, that is if I just have one.

Shane's cousin is expecting very soon so that will total 6 cousins in that family:)
